N2 - In his references to and discussions and use of Friedrich Nietzsche, Georges Bataille claims to be «the only one» who has understood Nietzsche. Bataille tries moreover to combine his own philosophy with Nietzsche’s, «so there were no longer two, but one movement». Bataille’s claim and endeavor are contradicted and criticized as a «strategic misreading» and misunderstanding of Nietzsche. In this article it is argued, however, with reference to the first part of Thus Spoke Zarathustra, that Bataille’s reading, and use of Nietzsche is nevertheless compatible with and fulfills Nietzsche’s instructions on how he wishes to be read and understood. Following an introduction to the fundamentals of Bataille’s philosophy and a discussion of Nietzsche’s ideas on following and his distinction between the hermeneutics of blood and ink the author concludes that Bataille is a «true« companion to Nietzsche. In broader terms the paper discusses the «impossible» question: How does Nietzsche wish to be read?I sin behandling og inddragelse af Friedrich Nietzsche hævder Georges Bataille at være «den eneste», der har forstået Nietzsche. Bataille forsøger at forbinde sin egen tænkning med Nietzsches, så der «ikke længere var to, men én bevægelse». Batailles påstand og bestræbelse imødegås og modsiges som en «strategisk fejllæsning« og misforståelse af Nietzsche. I denne artikel argumenteres der imidlertid for, med henvisning til den første bog i Således talte Zarathustra, at Batailles påstand og brug af Nietzsche er forenelig med og udgør en indfrielse af Nietzsches anvisninger på, hvorledes han ønsker sig læst og forstået. Med udgangspunkt i en præsentation af Batailles centrale tankefigurer, Nietzsches ideer om følgeskab og distinktionen mellem blodets og blækkets hermeneutik søges det godtgjort, at Batailles tænkning netop er et eksempel på et «ret» følgeskab af Nietzsche. Generelt formuleret angår denne artikel det «umulige» spørgsmål: Hvorledes ønsker Nietzsche sig læst?
